This foot calf massager looks like many of the other models made by different manufacturers. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if most of these machines have the same parts but just a different badge on the front. With this said, here is a bit more on the Qlive QL-2000 Foot, Calf and Ankle Massager  

You place your lower legs and feet into this unit. Again, you can adjust the massager so that it is convenient and comfortable no matter what angle the legs may be. You can even “wear” the massager when lying on your back on the floor.

The unit covers the top of the feet, the ankles and the back of the calves. A soft fabric covers the actuators that perform the vibrations. The soft fabric comes in contact with your skin/body when the appliance is switched on.

In the case of the calf, the fabric will roll back and forth (the actuators are disc like objects that move and adjust to the shape of your calf). This has a kneading affect on the skin that helps to reduce any tension in the muscles. When the massage is completed your lower legs will feel relaxed and even tingling a bit from the sensation on the skin. This is ideal for people that work on their feet a lot or athletes or other sports people that put plenty of stress on their lowers legs and feet.

The feet massage part of the Qlive massager uses nodes or lumps in the base of the unit to put pressure on the pressure points on the soles of your feet. These pressure points have been identified through the study of reflexology. This is described as a healing art that was thought to have initially started in China thousands of years ago. It is still a well respected area of therapy in Chinese and alternative medicine and healthcare.

When pressure points are stimulated, by the nodes on the massager unit, it is supposed to open the Qi or paths ways of energy that connect all the parts and organs in the body. Illness is though to occur when the pathways in the Qi become blocked. Massaging the feet and especially the pressure points on the soles of the feet is a way to unblock the Qi and restore the body to general wellbeing (according to reflexology).  

Wheter this is true or not, The Qlive foot and calf massager gives you feet and lower legs a pretty good workout. It is a great way to reduce tension and tight muscles which can also add to overall health and wellbeing.

This unit has 3 modes that go through a massage routine. There are also three manual settings if you just want a quick massage. It has an auto shut off feature after 15 minutes for safety and probably to give the motors inside the machine a rest too.
