Tokuyo
Creme Foot And Calf Massager
The Tokuyo crème Foot and Calf Massager has
a totally different look to most of the other foot calf massagers but from all accounts it
still does a good job at massaging the feet and lower legs. It does not have as much feedback as many of the other
products but what has been said about it is good. It performs a shiatsu massage on the feet and calves and
uses air balloons to ensure that the foot is always correctly positioned in relation to the actuators that do the
massaging. This is a reasonably priced unit that looks quite good too.

More on the Tokuyo Creme Foot And Calf Massager
I suspect that many of these machines are exactly the same except with a different badge on the
front. Well in the case of the Tokuyo Foot And Calf Massager it is exactly the same as the Sanyo HER-FA500W Zero
Gravity Foot Massager. From all accounts it is exactly the same design and materials as the Sanyo. It even comes
from the same factory.
Given that the Sanyo is nearly double the price of the Tokuyo this could mean that the Tokuyo is
extremely good value for money or that the Sanyo is rather overpriced. One point to consider is that the Sanyo has
a remote control which could be handy if you don't fancy bending down to operate the Tokuyo. Also the Tokuyo only
seems to come in crème and the Sanyo is white.
In terms of how the machine works, it massages both the feet and the calves but it is completely
different to the standard foot calf massage machines that use rollers or disc like actuators to do the massaging.
This unit uses air pressure in the form of 11 small air bags. The air bags fill and deflate to deliver pressure to
certain parts of the foot or calf. The air bags also manipulate the foot or calf such that it is always positioned
to get the best affect of the air pressure (perpendicular to the point of contact). Hot air in the air bags can
also add heat to the skin and improve the quality of massage.
This is a good imitation of a person's hands giving your feet a shiatsu massage and they will feel
the benefit of it afterwards. Many people claim that it does a good job in relieving the tension in tight muscles
and promotes good blood circulation which can energize the body and keep all the body's system in good order.
The massager can also be reclined to adapt to how the user is sitting to make it more flexible and
comfortable in use. It has three massage modes which affect how the airbags inflate and deflate (or the style in
which it massages the skin). These are Shiatsu, Relax and Quick. They pretty much do what their names suggest.
You can also adjust the intensity of massage manually and there are 3 intensity levels to do this.
It also takes into account foot size with three different settings – presumably small, medium and large.
Some people have questioned how long the airbag function will last before there is a problem (like
a leak or wearing of the airbag). According to some feedback, the Sanyo model has proved to be very robust and
lasted over 2 years of constant use and is still going.
